She was born October 6, 1916 in Catawba County, to the late Harvey M. Ervin and Bertha Bolick Ervin.
Helen was a longtime member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church in Newton and was a Clerk for Sherwin Williams Paint Company for 10 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Sherrill; half-sister, Jessie Mae Kale; and four half-brothers.
Those left to cherish Helen’s memory are her son, Mike Sherrill and wife, Bea; and grandson, Allen Sherrill.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Beth Eden Lutheran Church in Newton with Pastor Marcus Ollis officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
