Jeffery Manson Sigmon

Jeffery “Jeff” Manson Sigmon, age 43, of Newton, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Born November 12, 1970, in Catawba County, Jeff was the son of Jerry Manson Sigmon and Wanda Jean Franks Sigmon, both of Newton, NC.

Jeff was employed as a test engineer for United Technologies Inc. and was attending Old St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newton, NC. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, especially playing golf, hunting and fishing.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Amy Lynn Fron Sigmon of the home; parents, Jerry Manson Sigmon and Wanda Jean Franks Sigmon of Newton, NC; sisters, Lynne Sigmon Laws and husband John of Newton, NC, and Kim Sigmon and husband Johnson Gulzar of Mt. Holly, NC; father and mother in law, Joseph and Sandra Fron of Bloomington, IL; brothers in law, Tom Fron and wife, Jenny of San Diego, CA, Eric Fron and wife, Emmanuelle of Bloomington, IL; nieces, Jessica, Sehrish, Bella, and Ava; nephews, Anthony, Brandon, and Aaron; and his dog, Nutmeg.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2014, at Old St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Sain and Rev. Dr. Tommy Sigmon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and family Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, NC.
