The first time I met Katelyn she was with her Dad. She had got in trouble, so Lewis brought her to work with him. On my break I went and sat with her. I asked her what did you do? And she told me. Then she told me her punishment was to write pages out of the bible. She said I love reading the bible,so it's not really punishment. She was a special girl.

Glenda & Michael & all of Katlyn's family, Our hearts broke to learn the news last Sunday that Katlyn had passed. There will always be an "empty chair" within Exodus Missionary Outreach Church where Katlyn sat usually with other little children that she was "loving on" & "caring for". She was always smiling & seemed so happy. She loved to get up & announce news for Bake Sales or any fund raisers or trips that were coming up for the children of the church. She set a great example for our young people & everyone else within the church. She will be missed so very much & we know that she flies with the Angels now. Give Jesus a hug from all of us as He welcomes you home into his loving arms surrounded by all the other young people there. Until we meet again, RIH, Katlyn. You were loved by so many.

We grew up together since elementary. Yes we had some down moments but we always linked back in some way . On some of my off days you would check on me . When I had struggles in language arts or social studies , you always helped me . We would cut up in class and stay snacking . You always found a way to help others or cheer somebody up even if y’all didn’t speak much or even if y’all had trouble in the past . Rest easy bbyg gone but never forgotten 🤞💙

I remember Katlyn as a talented teenager, who was good at speaking, excellent with children, and friendly to everyone. I remember her being an active member at Exodus Missionary Outreach Church in Hickory, NC. We (Paul, Dwight and I) extend our deepest sympathy to her family, especially her beloved grandparents, and we keep you in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless each of you!!
