In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Eugene Lay, brother, Floyd Withers, sisters, Mary Eva Sipe and Rachel Mace; grandson, Justin Ashley King.
Lois enjoyed crafting, gardening, sewing and jewelry making; she also loved to travel as well as cruising. She loved her church family and was a devoted church member. Her favorite job was at A-Klein making valentine boxes. Everyone thought she was the sweetest lady, and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Lay Wallace, Rebecca Lay Deese and husband David, Kimberly Lampe-Barus and husband Jonathan; son, Danny Lay and wife Vickie; brother, Everette Withers and wife Laverne; 7 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
Receiving of friends will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 1pm prior to the service.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Good News Church with Pastor Ricky Cooke officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good News Church Newton.
