Louise Peeler Fox

Born April 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late, Clarence and Cynthia Hastings Peeler and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Newton.

Louise loved gardening, bird watching, her family and her church. She worked for Newton Glove for 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Sam Walter Fox; two brothers and six sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Thomas E. Fox and wife, Sandy of Conover, NC, William “Bill Fox and wife, Ingrid of Virginia, Leon Fox and wife, Judy of Conover, NC; grandchildren, Jamie Fox, Jay Fox; great grandchild, Stacy Maranda Fox; step-grandchildren, Susan Patton, Christina Paget, Jennifer Stump; step-great grandchildren, Caitlyn Stump, Christopher Wieland, Lindsey Patton, Kyle Paget, and Alex Paget.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Newton with Rev. Tommy Hullette officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
