Born December 27, 1942 in Catawba Co., she was the daughter of the late Ralph Thurston Cruse and Margaret Clark Cruse.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gerald Ray Taylor; son, William Randy Taylor; daughter, Sandra Lee Taylor Cline and husband, James; granddaughter, Whitney Lee Taylor.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel in Newton with the Rev. Robert Sain officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
