Margie M Martin

Born November 13, 1934 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Carroll Matthews and Eadrie Hedrick Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Cook; sister, Rebecca Kersey; and brother, Paul Taylor.

Survivors include daughters Peggy Laughridge of Conover, Nancy McMillan and husband Gary of Hickory, and Linda Matthews and husband Pete of Catawba; sister, Alice Cazire of Conover; brother, Donald Matthews of Conover; grandchildren Scott Herman, Alisha Shannon, Tara Ervin, Crystal Church, and Deidra Hunt; and 9 great grandchildren.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in the chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton and burial will follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Catawba.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
