Nelson Edward Clark

He was born on March 28, 1937 in Avery County to the late Edward Nelson Clark and Florence Calloway Clark.

Nelson proudly served in the Air Force and later retired from the textile industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Marie Clark; step-son, Teddy Deveney; brother, Lonnie Clark, and sister, Alma Jean Hoffman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Nancy Cash Clark; son, Marcus Edward Clark and wife, Karen, step-son, Roger Deveney and wife, Karen, step-daughters, Roxanne Stiles and husband, Brian, and Lisa Deveney; grandsons, Matthew Edward Clark and wife, Ragan, and Jordan Mark Clark; step-granddaughters, Kayla, Ashley, Kristy, and Kelsey; great-granddaughter, Gracie Mae Clark; five step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
