Norma Jean Pryor Hinson

Norma Jean Pryor Hinson, age 88, passed away March 17, 2017 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House in Sherrills Ford, NC. Born April 10, 1928 in Ohio County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Birkett Pryor and Ethel Mae Buchanan Pryor. Jean was a graduate of Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Newton, NC where she was a member of Circle One. Jean was also member of the League of Women Voters and the Newton Garden Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse of 63 years, Kenneth Monroe Hinson and a brother, Oliver McCoy Pryor.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, David Hinson and wife, Mary Klein of Palo Alto, CA; daughter, Jane Mackie of Bethlehem, PA; grandchildren, Alison Lazewski and husband, Bryan, Lisa Mackie and husband, Giovanni Lara, Robert Hinson, Rose Hinson; great-grandchildren, Anna Lazewski, Abby Lazewski and Bryce Lazewski.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Wheeling, WV.
