He served in the National Guard and was a proud member of the sons of confederacy. He also was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and enjoyed delivering meals on wheels.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey, Lewis and Carl Dellinger; and son-in-law Michael Pope.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Brenda King Dellinger; son, Mark Dellinger and wife Jennifer; daughters, Treva Pope, Penny Dellinger-Schenk and husband Bob; brother, Chesley Dellinger Jr.; grandchildren, Barbi Mills, Wiley Sigmon IV, Kelly Sarver, Adam Sigmon and Nicholas Pope; and 12 great grandchildren.
