William Matthew Weinrich

The family of Navy Petty Officer First Class William Matthew Weinrich are heartbroken to announce his passing. William was born Feb 17, 1987 in nearby Burke County, and spent much of his early life in Catawba County. Upon graduating from Alexander Central high school where he was part of the NJROTC program, William joined the Navy and served for more than 12 years in varying positions as an Electronic Technician around the world. William was an avid and talented photographer whose pictures included various subject matters and locations. He was a mentor to others interested in photography. William was also an accomplished motorcycle rider, and has crossed the United States several times on various motorcycles.

William is survived by his Mother, Suzette Johnson; his Father Bain Weinrich, and his Brother Ahren Weinrich.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday April 15, 2017 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 2613 Wesley Chapel Road, Newton NC, 28658. The family will receive friends and guests beginning at 2:00 PM at the church. A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 4 PM.
