Andy was born in Siroko Polj, Yugoslavia, on June 27, 1942 to the late Anton and Anna Pfeiffer. During a time of great uncertainty, his family relocated to Germany and in Andy’s early teens, they bravely journeyed by boat to the United States in pursuit of a better life.
Rooted in a deeply close-knit family, Andy was raised with a strong sense of community, perseverance, and dedication—values that shaped his character and guided his life's work. In 1971, he married the love of his life, Susan, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and faith.
Andy was a master craftsman and gifted carpenter whose extraordinary skill took him across the country. From trade show exhibits and convention halls to custom cabinetry and windows, his work spoke to his artistry and precision. He spent many meaningful decades at Dimensional Communications Inc. in Montvale, NJ, where he not only left a legacy of craftsmanship but also formed lasting friendships that endured throughout his life.
His tireless work ethic was always in service of his family, whom he prioritized above all else. A man of deep Christian faith, Andy lived by the principles of compassion, forgiveness, and generosity. He gave freely to causes close to his heart, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Fellowship of Christians and Jews, and foster care organizations, always striving to help those in need.
In his free time, Andy found joy and peace in his garden, where his green thumb brought vibrant life to flowers and plants that he tended with care. Andy suffered a stroke in 2017 and his devoted wife Susan became his constant caregiver, offering him unwavering love and support through every challenge.
Andy is survived by his beloved wife Susan Pfeiffer and their two sons, Joshua and Danny. He is also survived by his two sisters, Maria and Maggie. Andy was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Anne Pfeiffer; and his sisters, Anne and Regina.
