the home of her daughter and son-in-law's in Newton, N.J.
Barbara was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Paterson N.J. to Paul and Marjorie Lento on Dec. 24, 1937 and was raised in Pompton Plains, N.J. until she mar-ried in 1956. In 1965, her and her family moved to the beautiful home they built in Towaco N.J. where the three girls were raised.
After a divorce in the late 1980's, Barbara found love again, remarried and moved,
creating beautiful homes in Elmwood Park, N.J., Columbia, S.C., Mystic Is-land, N.J. and most recently Seaford, DE.
Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother to her husband, Jerome Darnell, who preceded her in death in 2018; her
three daughters, Wendy Yahn, Lee Fischer and Cheryl Engelhardt; four grand-daughters, Julie Buruchian, Jenna Grambone (Engelhardt) Laurie Buruchian and Lydia Engelhardt; and great-grandson Theodore Williams (Buruchian), her hearts delight.
A memorial service will be held to commemorate her life on Sept. 18,
2021 at 11 am in the St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Bridgeville, Delaware.
