Barbara Ann Peck, a beloved resident of Newton, New Jersey, passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on February 1, 1953, in Hoboken, New Jersey, Barbara was raised in Saddle Brook, New Jersey. She was deeply cherished by her family and friends.
Barbara was married to her beloved husband, James Peck, with whom she built a loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker—steady, selfless, and endlessly giving—always the first to show up and the last to leave when someone needed her. Her children were her proudest joy: Jaime Peck (Noel), Vanessa Peck (Jason), Brendan Peck (Gabriella), and Courtney Miele (Jon). She adored her grandchildren, Emma Tofanelli and Makayla, who were the light of her life.
Barbara never met a stranger. She had a unique gift for making people feel at ease with her warm and comforting nature—striking up conversations anywhere, listening with her whole heart, and leaving others feeling seen and cared for. She was wonderfully social—someone who never missed a chance to say hello, share a story, or pull up an extra chair. Her laughter came easily and often, and it made others feel at ease. Whether at a family gathering or a quick stop at the store, she brought warmth, good humor, and the sense that you mattered to her.
She is also survived by her sister, Maureen Dimeck (Charles), her cousin, Mary Ellen Bolton (Chirstopher), her best friends, Donna and Gary Seitz, her nephew, Eric Dimeck (Kristin), and her great-niece and great-nephew, Olivia Dimeck and Owen Dimeck. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Edward Thomas & Mary (Moore) Scannell.
Barbara’s life was a testament to her joyful spirit and the lasting impact she had on those around her. Her loving and generous nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
