Beverly was born in Newton and was a lifelong Sussex County resident. She graduated from Newton High School, Class of 1953. In her younger years, she was a clerk at the Candy Kitchen on Spring Street in Newton. She worked several years in the Stillwater School Cafeteria, but her true passion was caring for her family.
Beverly carried a deep faith and was a longtime member of the Baleville Congregational Church. She was lover of literature; her ability to lose herself in a story was a source of inspiration to those who shared her love of reading. She wintered in Mid Florida Lakes in Leesburg, Florida for many years. Although she cherished those trips, she eagerly anticipated returning home to her family. Beverly loved Country Western concerts and enjoyed attending them with her husband. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother whose warmth and kindness brought joy to those closest to her.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Geraldine Straway; her son, Paul Arnott; her grandchildren, Brian Predmore and Desiree Ippolito; sister, Sharon Morris; and her brother, Charles Straway. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 73 years, Bill Arnott; her daughter, Christa Predmore and husband, Clinton; her grandchildren, Amanda Predmore, Jennifer Ippolito, and Ashley Yanish; and her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kali Rose, Kayden, Mikaila, Beau, Stetson, and Aspen.
Services are private under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home. Condolences can be offered to the family at below. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to: The Family of Beverly Arnott, c/o 63 High St, Newton, NJ 07860.
