of Newton, N.J., Carol was born on October 5, 1931 in East Stroudsburg, Pa., to the late Edith
(McWilliams) and Fred Fetherman.
She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Donald A.Dailey, Sr., who passed away in 1998,
a brother, Joseph Fetherman, a sister, Edith (Lindemann) Brink, and son in-law, Joseph Piteo.
She leaves behind her son and daughter in-law, Donald Jr. and Diane (Delaney) Dailey, her
daughter, Lori (Dailey) Piteo, her granddaughter, Caitlyn Dailey, and her grandson and wife,
Derek and Danielle (Pyser) Dailey.
She was a devoted and generous wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
An industrious lady, working for 30+ years as a bookkeeper (including Newton Radio Station,
and Cedar Lake Horse Farm, Blairstown), was a seamstress/quiltmaker, (with husband, Don),
and after retiring, was a valued assistant for 15 years at her daughter’s farm stand at Vienna Hill
Farm, in Independence Twp., N.J.
Many of us enjoyed her baked goods (pies, cookies, cakes, zucchini bread) as well as her pickles
and jams, which were a treat at holiday time, and were also offered for sale at the farm stand.
Carol valued her longtime friendships and connections with her community. She was an active
member and participant in the Newton Prime Time Seniors, a 50+ year member as well as
past matron and treasurer for the Melchior Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Andover,
a congregate of the First United Methodist Church, Newton, and Girl Scout Leader.
During her quiet evenings at home, Carol could be found reading, watching classic movies, sewing,
knitting, and crocheting something beautiful. Gardening was also her favorite pasttime.
Carol lived a full and blessed life, and for that, we are grateful.
The family of Carol A. Dailey would like to thank everyone for their friendship, support and care for
Carol, throughout her life in East Stroudsburg, PA., her 65 year residency in Newton, N.J., and her
rehabilitations on Long Island, NY.
