He was born at home in Hamburg on May 31, 1942 to the late Clayton and Margaret Rowe.
Clayton devoted much of his working life to the craft and care of automobiles, serving as autobody manager at Condit Motors in Newton, NJ for 26 years.
Beyond his career, Clayton enjoyed fishing, especially along the Rockaway River. An avid fan of classic cars, he also held a deep affection for everything relating to the 1950’s era. He was very fond of the History Channel, which he often watched with his wife, Maureen, a shared routine that brought comfort and companionship to everyday life.
Clayton is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Maureen Rowe; his stepsons, William Ryker (Susan) and Sean Ryker (Jennifer); 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Lori Rowe.
Condolences may be offered to Clayton's family below.
