Crystal was born in Marion, IL on March 31, 1956, to the late Ronald L. and Patricia J. (Dickinson) Jackson. Throughout her youth she lived in various locations such as Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota and New York before settling in Hampton in 1976. Prior to her retirement in 2016, Crystal spent many years as a devoted kindergarten teacher at Marian Emmons Mc Keown School in Newton.
Outside of her professional life, Crystal had a passion for gardening, finding peace and joy in tending to her flowers and plants. She also loved to travel with her adoring husband, eagerly exploring new places and cultures with a sense of wonder and adventure. Holidays were especially meaningful to Crystal, who took great joy in hosting family gatherings filled with laughter, delicious food, and lasting memories. She was the heart of every celebration. Above all she cherished her role as Mimi.
Married August 28, 1976, Crystal was the beloved wife to Terry Cassidy of 49 years, Crystal is also survived by her daughters, Liza Kelly (Jason), Blaine Crawn (John) and Mackenzie Riaubia (David); her grandchildren, Gabrielle (Kyle), Madison, Dakota, Jackson, Casey, Dalton, Tanner, Mckenna, Grayson, Braelyn, Clayton and Bryer; her great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Kaine, Kroux and Haven and her sisters, Becky (Lane), Cindy (Wally) and Leslie (Russell).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A viewing will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 10 am – 11 am, followed by the funeral service at 11 am at the funeral home.
