A resident of Stillwater, New Jersey, Edna’s life was defined by her immense heart and her unwavering willingness to go out of her way for anyone in need.
For many years, Edna was a dedicated professional at SCARC, where she found profound purpose and joy in supporting the individuals in her care. She treated them with the same love, dignity, and compassion that she gave to her own family. Her selfless nature and warm spirit left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
Edna had a vibrant array of passions that brought her joy. She loved the bright, cheerful presence of sunflowers, the quiet strength of lighthouses, and all things bears. Come football season, she was a dedicated fan of the New York Giants. Above all else, she treasured the time she spent surrounded by her family and sharing her home with her two beloved cats, Bubby and Baby.
Edna was preceded in death by her father, Caleb Talmadge; her mother, Mary Muller; her step-father, Walter Muller; her beloved sisters, Judy Smith and Jo-Ann Fansler; and her nephews, Gary Fansler and George Smith.
Her beautiful memory will be deeply cherished by her surviving family, including her brother, Ralph Talmadge; her beloved nieces, Tara Fansler and her cherished dog Ca$h, Mary Fansler and her husband Tracy Wright, Katherine Fansler, Kelsey Smith, and Jasmyne Smith; her nephews, Ralph Smith and Tyler Fansler; her nephew and Godson, Josh Wright, and his girlfriend Debi Murphy (who also served as Edna's dedicated nurse), along with his sons, her great-nephews Josh Wright Jr. (and his mother Michelle Gonzalez, who lovingly helped care for Edna) and Jace Wright; her great-nephew Michael Dontas; and her great-niece Rachel Dvorak, along with her husband Gerod and their three daughters. She also leaves behind countless friends, colleagues, and extended family members who will never forget her kindness.
