Frank was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Francis X. and Eleanor (McGrath) Bucino. He was raised in Hoboken, NJ before moving to Sussex County over 60 years ago. In 2001 he and his wife Diane moved to Norwich, NY. He was a proud Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Frank dedicated his life to public service in law enforcement. He began his career as a Probation Officer for Sussex County and then became an officer in the Andover Township Police Department. He went on to serve his country for 30 years, in the United States Department of Defense Police Force retiring as a Lieutenant. Frank was a volunteer Fireman for the Andover Township Fire Department and a proud member of the Blue Knights of NY Chapter 17 and Boone and Crockett lifetime member.
The beloved husband of Diane Bucino, he is survived by his mother-in-law Jeanne Current, his brother-in-law Walter Current, Jr., his sister-in-law, Jeanee Mooney (Tim), his nieces and nephews; Robert, Carrie, Lori, Katie, Walt and Michael, many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and close friends. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son Frank Bucino, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860. A funeral service will be held privately for his immediate family on Thursday.
