Besides his work as a carpenter for over 30 years, George was known to always keep himself busy. He was fond of farming, chopping firewood, riding atop his tractor, and building or crafting all sorts of knick knacks. Fishing and crabbing during family vacations all along the Jersey shore brought George great joy. Above all, he loved spending quality time with his family.
George is survived by his daughter, Rachel; his son, Kristian; his granddaughter, Mila; and his brother, Leon. He will be greatly missed by many more family members and friends.
A visitation for George will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 6 p.m.
