

Born in Lafayette, NJ on May 30, 1944, Gerald grew up in Sussex County. Graduated from Newton High school and then served his country from 1962 to 1965 with the U.S. Army. The majority of Gerald's life was spent in Sussex County, Shohola, PA. And Spartanburg, SC. Gerald's final years were spent in New Jersey, close to his family and friends who knew him best as Jerry.
Gerald served in the United States Army while stationed in Yakima, WA; driving trucks with explosives. Later, he traveled cross country driving tractor trailer before settling into petrol delivery at Northwest Petroleum.
Gerald enjoyed traveling with his late wife, Elaine, and spending time with his kids, grand kids and great grand kids. Gerald enjoyed spending time with his close friends and VA friends at the American Legion doing Karaoke as well as going to yard sales and bingo.
The son of the late Francis and Dorothy (Price) Wagner, Gerald is predeceased by his Wife, Elaine (Balkau) Wagner who he was married to for 47 years before her passing in 2018. He is also survived by his daughter Debra K. Muntzel and her husband, Drew, of Longview, WA., son Gerald “Jerry” A. Wagner, Jr. and his wife, Angie, of Montague, NJ. and his daughter Patsy E. Wickey and her husband, Brian, of New Windsor, NY. He is also survived by his 7 grand children and 14 Great Grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held by the family at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his name to Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Condolences may be offered to the family below.
