Grace was born in Jersey City, NJ on April 3, 1935, to the late Edward and Jenny (Toth) Koscielicki. She grew up in Bayonne and lived there for many years before settling in East Stroudsburg in 1998. Grace had a warm and generous spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as crocheting, knitting, cooking and baking, and she shared many of her talents generously with those she loved. Her handmade gifts, delicious meals and heartfelt presence brought comfort and joy to all.
Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Whether it was a quiet afternoon chatting over coffee or a bustling holiday gathering, Grace found happiness in being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
The beloved wife to the late Charles Barzydlo, Grace is survived by her children, Ronald Barzydlo and his wife Mary and Cheryl Monczka and her husband Michael; her daughter-in-law, Michele Barzydlo; grandchildren, Eric Barzydlo (Alexandra), Danielle Barzydlo, John Barzydlo (Hannah) and Joshua Amabile (Lauren); her great-grandchildren, Alaina, Ethan and Kasia Grace and her brother, Alexander Koscielicki (Susan). Along with her parents and husband, Grace was predeceased by her son, Charles Barzydlo and her siblings, Edward Koscielicki, Joan Baez, Jennie Heck, George Koscielicki and Susan Lorenzo.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff at Whitestone Care Center for their compassionate care and kindness during Grace’s final days.
