Harold was born in Newton, NJ on November 4, 1932 to the late Albert and Mildred (Smith) Dunn. Harold grew up in Sussex County before settling in Pennsylvania one year ago. Harold was a proud Army veteran who served during the Korean War and was an active member of the American Legion. Prior to his retirement Harold was a Charter Bus Driver with Dunn’s Bus Service in Beemerville. Harold enjoyed woodworking, especially when he was making things for family and friends in his shop. He was an avid collector of coins, stamps, and other keepsakes. After moving to Mechanicsburg Harold became a member of the Harrisburg Coin Collectors Club.
The beloved husband to Wahneta (Pullis) Dunn, Harold is also survived by his children, David Dunn (Deborah), Sherri Romyns (Joseph) and Herb Dunn (Sheryl Toner); his (9) grandchildren and (7) great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Katherine Geuther and Albert Dunn. He is preceded in death by his parent and siblings, Ted Dunn, Eleanor Macko, and Thelma May.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with interment to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery in Hamburg.
