Helen was born on December 23, 1959, to the late Lawrence and Ruth (Decker) Whitmore. Helen was a cherished member of Center for Humanistic Change of New Jersey community and has been under their care since 1991.
Helen met life with incredible resilience, a strong will and a heart full of generosity. She had a sharp sense of humor and loved to playfully scare people just to get a good laugh. Her joy was contagious and her affection for others was unmistakable.
She adored animals, especially cats and dogs and lit up whenever she was around them. Her generous spirit often showed in the little gifts she gave to others. Helen loved her housemates deeply, and they loved her in return and was known as the “favorite” for some.
