Henry was born and raised in Scotland to the late, Charles and Edith (Irvine) McKechnie. He moved to the United States in 1950 and proudly served in the US Army as a guard of the Berlin Wall during the Korean Conflict. Henry was a painter for Hugo Scheering Painting; he also worked for K&E Factory, a used car dealership and Shop-Rite in Newton prior to retiring in 1999.
In addition to his parents, Henry was also predeceased by his wife, Anna McKechnie in 2015; and his daughter, Sonja M. Siggins in 1998. He is survived by he daughter, Cindy Dyda; his grandson, Jacob Dyda; and his grand-fur babies.
