Jimmy was born in Sussex Hospital on May 1, 1969 and was a lifelong Sussex County resident. He graduated from Sussex County Vocational and Technical High School in 1987 and began his career as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Jimmy worked at several different quarries throughout his career, most recently he worked for Tilcon since 2001. Jimmy truly loved his job at the quarry and was fascinated by the industry.
Jimmy was a huge Indian Motorcycle enthusiast and started a collection of his own. He loved bike weeks and motorcycle rallies and would travel the United States to participate at different events. Jimmy loved smoking a good cigar while relaxing and spending time with his family and friends. Family meant everything to him.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, James Robert Martin, Sr. and Betty (Campbell) Dorset. He leaves behind his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Rae Ann (Izzi) Martin, who he was with for 36 years; his sons, Cory James Martin and wife, Dominique, and Kyle Martin; his brothers, Jason and Walter Martin; his sisters-in-law, Jody DeYoung and husband, Bill, and Loren Mayer and husband, Scott; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ.
