Jesse was born in Manhattan, New York on November 23, 1948 to the late Jesus and Raquel Lopez. He began his career in the mailroom; through 30 years of dedicated service in the technology field, Jesse worked his way up the ladder to become a Supervisor for the East Coast division of AT&T. While this career path was fulfilling, Jesse was most dedicated to his position as patriarch of his family. Jesse ensured he was at each and every event for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with a proud smile on his face and love in his heart.
In his spare time, Jesse enjoyed music - especially Frank Sinatra - as well as watching action or sci-fi movies, and traveling. Above all, Jesse loved spending time with his family, who will forever hold his stories and wisdom in their hearts.
Jesse is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Lopez and his three children Michele Lopez-Kleinschmidt, Carol Montalbano, and Joseph Lopez as well as their spouses David, Chris, and Loretta. His memory is also carried on by his three granddaughters Michele, Kimberly and Alexis and their husbands Matt, Mike, and Tom; as well as his three great-grandsons Lukas, Wyatt, and Jakob. He is additionally remembered by his sister Yvonne Torres, and his nephew Marcus (Sherry & Olivia).
A visitation for Jesse will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860.
