Josephine was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and was the 11th of 12 children in her family, ultimately becoming the last surviving sibling—a distinction that spoke to a life marked by endurance and steadfast presence across generations.
For many years prior to retirement, Josephine worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Gregory Waterproofing. In that role, she brought care and constancy to the daily work that sustains a family enterprise, offering quiet dedication through the routines and responsibilities of working life.
In her younger years, Josephine loved to dance, and she carried that enjoyment of life’s lighter moments into later years as well, finding pleasure in gambling and in taking trips to the casino.
Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Jack Gregori; her father, Nicola Agolio; her mother, Maria (Cavaccio) Agolio; and 11 siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Candace Hartman; her son, Gary Gregori; her granddaughter, Jacqulyn Potter; and her great-grandchildren, Jack, Sagan and Stone.
