Kevin was born October 3, 1949 in Passaic and raised in Clifton. He worked as a Chemical Operator for Merck Pharmaceuticals for 35 years prior to retirement. Kevin was a former member of the Free and Accepted Masons and a member of the Stillwater Volunteer Fire Company.
Kevin was an avid outdoorsman; he spent much of his time fishing and hunting in his younger years and more recently enjoyed fishing and splitting wood with his grandson. Kevin had a healthy appetite and always enjoyed a good meal. He was a big fan of Western movies, especially John Wayne films. He worked at Tomahawk Lake for many years in the summer and cherished the time he spent there.
Kevin was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Knight; and his parents, Roger and Elizabeth (Harding) Knight. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Knight; his grandson, Jayden Waldron; his granddaughter, Alexis Brunt;,his sister, Marianne Pavone (Jim); his brother, Roger Knight (Susan); his nieces and nephew, Victoria Barmoy, Ainslie Oswin, Jennifer and Roger; as well as his aunt and cousins.
A visitation for Kevin will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860, with a Firemen’s Service at 6:30 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10 am, at the funeral home, interment will follow in Stillwater Cemetery, 930 Maple Ave, Newton, NJ 07860.
