Born October 7, 1953, in Umeå, Sweden, LG carried with him a deep pride in his roots and a steady sense of purpose that shaped the life he built and the people he loved. He was a resident of Newton, New Jersey.
LG’s life was marked by devotion and quiet strength—qualities forged during his time working on tanker ships for the Swedish Army, and later through a long and meaningful career as a Forensic Psychologist at Sundsvall Regional Hospital, where he served for 25 years. In work that demanded steadiness, discernment, and compassion, he brought a calm presence and a grounded commitment to doing what was right, even when it was difficult.
Away from his profession, LG found joy in the outdoors and in the pursuits that spoke to his patience and focus. An avid moose hunter, he also collected knives and firearms and enjoyed fishing—interests that reflected his appreciation for tradition, skill, and time spent close to nature.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Reeves Lindh; step-daughters, Carola Nordin, Annike Nordin, and Marie DeFabritis; step-son, Richie DeFabritis; brother-in-law, Westley Reeves (Francis); as well as four grandchildren.
LG will be remembered with gratitude and affection—for the life he lived with resolve, for the care he offered through years of service, and for the enduring love he gave to his family. His memory remains a blessing, and his presence will be deeply missed.
A Graveside Service will take place at 10:30am on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Newton Cemetery, 19 Lawnwood Ave, Newton, NJ 07860.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in LG’s memory to Newton Rescue Squad, 68 Sussex Street, Newton, NJ 07860.
