Linda was born on July 19, 1947 in Newton to the late Harold and Dorothy (Litz) Decker. Linda was raised in Lafayette before settling in Sandyston in 1976. Prior to her retirement, Linda worked various positions for Selective Insurance for 48 years. Linda enjoyed baking for family events and liked to crochet numerous pieces for her loved ones. She cherished spending time with her loving grandchildren.
The beloved wife to Richard B. Haskins, Linda is also survived by her children, Ann Zimmerman and her husband David of Lititz, PA, James Haskins and his wife Lisa of Hampton, NJ, and William Haskins of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Dylan Palmer (Samantha), Taylor Palmer, Alexys Kanagy (Josiah), Ella Haskins and Emilia Haskins; three brothers Fred Decker, Ron Decker, Larry Decker and five sisters Arlene Decker, Pat Bennett, Margaret Drew, Marion Elston, and Sandy Lewis. Along with her parents, Linda was predeceased by three brothers Bill Decker, Dave Decker, and Butch Decker.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Hainesville Cemetery in Sandyston.
