Lynn was born in Jersey City and was a Sussex County resident for many years. She graduated from Newton High School and was a beloved member of the SCARC community, as well as a resident at the SCARC Fredon Group Home for the past 12 years. Lynn was on the cleaning crew with SCARC Employment Services for 9 years before she retired to the SCARC Patty Dolan Senior Program in 2019.
Lynn had a smile that could light up a room and always had a positive attitude. She was a Special Olympic Gold Medalist in swimming and she enjoyed bowling. Lynn loved working on craft projects and word searches. She always looked forward to vacation and especially enjoyed traveling. Sunday Zoom calls with her family were often the highlight of her week.
Lynn loved life and everyone she met. She always greeted them with a smile and a great big hug. In turn, everyone who knew Lynn loved her back. She will be missed.
Lynn was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Genevieve (Giannillo) Pelle. She is survived by her sisters, Kathie Coleman, Lu Ann Malik, Rose Ann Laughery and Jeanette Pelle; and her nieces and nephews, Jason Coleman, Allison Moerke, Melissa Revel, Jack Laughery, Bryan Laughery and Michael Pelle and 5 great nephews and a great niece.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ, with a 6:30 pm Time of Sharing.
