Margaret M. Cook

Margaret was born in Jersey City on September 1, 1926 to the late James and Anne (Harte) Whelan.

The beloved wife to the late Clinton M. Cook, Margaret is survived by her children, Raymond Sooley and his wife Donna and her daughter Carol Dietz; her grandchildren, Timothy Sooley, Bridget Liebes, Michael Sylvester, Maggie Sylvester, Zakkary Dietz, Autumn Dietz; her great-grandchildren, Norah Liebes and Molly Liebes. Along with her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by her first husband Raymond Sooley, her daughter, Joyce Sylvester and her husband William, and her siblings, Elizabeth Boyle, Thomas and James Whelan.

Visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel RC Church, 203 Swartswood Rd, Newton, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
