Marilyn was born in Manhattan, New York and was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in History. Marilyn then attended New York University where she studied towards her Master’s degree in History. She worked as a banker for many years retiring in the late 1990’s.
Marilyn was a lifelong avid reader. She enjoyed being emersed in a story and would page through at least one book per day. She was also a faithful Episcopalian and formerly a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in South River, New Jersey.
Marilyn was predeceased by her father, Harold Stanley; her mother, Violet (Schofield) Dietzsch; and her brother-in-law, Brian Dallas. She is survived by her daughter, Avery Anderson; her son, Philip Anderson; her grandchildren, Courtney Bosworth, Devanne Bosworth-Wolanski (Sebastian Wolanski), Shaylynne Bosworth-Thompson (Keith Thompson), Frank Bosworth (Marissa Glatt); her sister, Ann Dallas; her niece, Debby Hope and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in Marilyn's memory may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
