Peter was born in Montclair NJ, lived in Mansfield before moving to Green Township in 1991. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a Petroleum Inspector at Getty Oil in Kuwait, owned a Service Master company, owned a Deli in Oxford, was a Realtor, and was one of the original owners of Cross Keys Bed and Breakfast. He also was a former member of the Mason’s Musconetcong Lodge #42 in Budd Lake.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, the late Bert Belder and Margaret (Henderson) Belder and his step-father Phillip Morris, his first wife Dorothy Kubis-Belder, his second wife Lorraine Richardson-Belder and his longtime companion Patricia A. Toye.
Peter is survived by his children, Peter D. (Danny) Fox, Tesha Perry, Laura Lee Belder-Lopez and Arlena Belder-Monteleone and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Emily, Jacinto (Jack), Addyson, Cassandra and Taylor. And also survived by his friend Patricia Lake.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 4-6 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ., a masonic service will begin at 6 pm. His Interment will be Tuesday, September 14, Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, NJ at 11:00am.
