Peter Pruiksma

Peter was born in Paterson to the late Frank and Susie (Dykhouse) Pruiksma. He was a long time resident of Sussex County, living in Hamburg before moving to Hampton Township. Peter proudly served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. He was a Factor Worker for Ames Rubber for many years prior to retirement.

Peter was an active member of the Stockholm United Methodist Church and a member of the Franklin American Legion Post 132. He was an avid NASCAR fan who always had to be home Sundays to watch.

In addition to his parents, Peter was also predeceased by his brother, William Pruiksma. He is survived by his companion of more than 20 years, Joy Smith; and his siblings, Frank and Donald Pruiksma and Nellie Wagner.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Stockholm United Methodist Church, 38 Co. Rd. 515, Stockholm, NJ. Interment will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Northern New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 75 N. Church Rd, Sparta, NJ.
