Born on September 13, 1943, Robert spent his early years in Passaic before making Sussex County his home.
Robert dedicated more than 40 years of his life to his work as a union bricklayer prior to his retirement, a career marked by steady commitment and pride in a job done well.
Those who knew Robert understood how deeply he valued friendship. He especially enjoyed the simple comfort of time spent catching up over drinks with the boys in the auto-repair shop at LC Service in Stillwater—moments of conversation and camaraderie that meant a great deal to him.
He also shared an extraordinary bond with Cole, an Australian Labradoodle who was far more than just a pet. Cole was Robert’s constant companion and the two went everywhere together.
Robert is survived by his sister, Annie Donnelly; his daughter, Cheryl Celli; his stepchildren, Melissa Belden, Dawn Meyn, Heather Milling, and James Belden; and his granddaughter, Leiha Jaretsky; along with many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
