RoseMarie was born and raised in New York City. She lived many years of her life in New York City and moved full time to Stillwater in 1964. RoseMarie worked as the Head of Direct Deposits for Midlantic Bank in Newton for many years prior to her retirement in 1987.
RoseMarie was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for many years in Swartswood. She was a fabulous cook and could make anything taste delicious. RoseMarie was always in search of the next party, she loved nothing more than a table full of good food and great company. You could often find her house filled with family and close friends. Above all else, RoseMarie’s pride and joy was her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
RoseMarie was predeceased by her parents, Pietro and Louise (Carbone) Burdi; her beloved husband of 67 years, Joseph S. Sciascia; and her brothers, Bernard, Frank and Rocco Burdi. She is survived by her children, Salvatore Sciascia and his wife Shelly, AnnMarie Sciascia, Jeannine Jensen and her husband Jerry and Maria Kylish and her husband Bob; her grandchildren, Carla Kachelriess, Nick Taormina, Joseph Sciascia, Dominique Ganska, Jeanmarie Ciarelli, Joseph Colon, Jared Jensen, Adria and Cameron Tidaback, two bonus grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; and her brother, Marco Burdi and his wife, Carmen.
Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, 203 Swartswood Rd, Newton, NJ. Burial will follow in Stillwater Cemetery, 930 Maple Ave, Stillwater, NJ.
