
Shelby Jean Wilson, 84, passed away on July 1, 2026. Born on June 19, 1942, in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Virginia Snyder. Shelby moved to Sussex County from Niagara Falls in 1971 where she landed in Lake Hopatcong with her husband and raised her family.
Throughout her working life, Shelby brought steady dedication to the roles she held. She was employed as a parts associate with Steven Willand Inc. prior to her retirement, and she also previously worked as a cook at a nursing home, positions that reflected a dependable spirit and a willingness to serve others through every day, meaningful work.
In her personal time, Shelby found enjoyment in the simple pleasures that brought comfort and creativity to her days. She loved country western music and took pride in arts and crafts, interests that spoke to her appreciation for both warmth and handiwork.
Shelby is survived by her children, Deborah J. Simmons, Thomas Clark, Lisa Ayers, Tracy Wilson and Roger Clark (Patricia); her grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, David, Nicole, Ashley, Josh, Bryan, Zachary, Raymond, Jessica, Andrew, Johnathon, John and Thomas; her great-grandchildren, Maximum, Jackson, Janiah, Owen, Gryffin, Damien and Lucas; and her siblings, Barbara, Mary, Jerry, Dennis and John. Along with her parents, Shelby was predeceased by her husband, John Wilson.
