Stephen was born in West Orange to Richard and Helen C. (Hawkins) Speer. He was a graduate of Newton High School and went onto a career in HVAC contracting for 20 years.
Stephen enjoyed classic cars, hobby trains, driving sports cars and automobile racing.
Stephen is survived by his sons, Westley Allen Speer, Randal Aaron Speer and Bradford Alexander Speer.
