Born on April 7, 1950, in Partinico, Sicily, Italy, Tommasa moved to the United States at the age of 16, where she began a life filled with love, family, and community.
Tommasa met her beloved late husband, Saverio Marino, in the United States, and they were married in 1969. Together, they built a beautiful family life. She is survived by her sons, Michael Marino and his wife, Nicole, and Ettore Marino and his wife, Jennifer. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Evan Marino. Tommasa is also survived by her sister, Vita Buffa. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Saverio, her father, Ettore Fiorentelli, her mother, Maria (Costante Nobile) Fiorentelli, her sisters, Maria and Tanina, and her brothers, Salvatore and Franco.
Tommasa enjoyed a fulfilling career, retiring from Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation in 2016 after a 30-year career in housekeeping. She also worked as a seamstress for a long time in Irvington, NJ. In 1981, she moved to Branchville, where she continued to enrich the lives of those around her.
Her love for cooking traditional Italian meals and hosting family dinners was well known. She was a member of the Associazione Italiana Yesterday Today Tomorrow, an Italian Club in Rutherford, NJ, where she attended many functions, cruises, New Year's Eve gatherings, and holiday events with her family. Tommasa was renowned for hosting huge Christmas Eve dinners with many family members and friends, where Christmas presents were opened at midnight.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday November 8, 2025, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm at the funeral home officiated by Reverend Monsignor Kieran McHugh.
