Wilhelmina H. Watters, 94, of Branchville Borough died Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Bentley Assisted Living in Branchville.
Wilhelmina was born and raised in Clifton, NJ. She was the Director of Communications for Union Camp-International Paper until her retirement in 1990; she worked as a phone operator prior. Wilhelmina lived the majority of her life in Prospect Park, NJ.
Wilhelmina was a member of St. Cecilia’s Seniors in Rockaway. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and travelling. She was known for her African Violets when she worked at Union Camp.
Wilhelmina was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Lydia (Froelich) Albrecht; her husband, Harold C. Watters; her sons, John and Robert Watters; and her granddaughter, Faith Moor. She is survived by her children, Karen Cifrodella, Patricia Walsh, Harold C. Watters, Jr. and wife, Dale, and Susan Moor and husband, Joe; her grandchildren, Tracy Merriman, Kristina Johnson, Ryan Walsh, Nicole Baker, Jonathan Moor, Abigail Yu-Moor, Jessica Moor, Robert Watters, Jr. and Grace Watters; as well as eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Emil Albrecht and wife, Lorraine.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church, 209 Route 206, Branchville, NJ, followed by an interment in Christ the King Cemetery, 980 Huron Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wilhelmina’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
