With gratitude to God for the life of our dear Mother, Grandmother and great-Grandmother, the family sadly announces the death of Alice Johnston of Niagara Falls, age 89.
Alice was the devoted wife of the late Charles Wellington Johnston (1986). She will be lovingly remembered by her children Donald, Ruth, Tim, Sandra and Lisa. Loving Mother-in-law to Gary Savoie and Robert Shand. Proud Grandmother of Michael O’Howe (Stacey), Christopher Shand (Kysme), Paul Johnston, Andrew Hadley, Evan Hadley, Claire Savoie and Patrick Johnston. Loving Great-Gran to Gavyn Shand, Emma Shand, Mason Shand, Catherine Goldstein-McEneny and Kaia Johnston.
Mom was a long and devoted member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and Legion Branch 396. The family would like to thank the March of Dimes and the caring staff at Lundy Manor for their help and support.
The family will receive friends at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Wednesday, Nov 6th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church on Thursday Nov 7 at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery. If so desired, donations to Our Saviour Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
