A very sad day when I heard of your passing my old friend. It was just a few months ago when  we talked at your cousin’s Fred Bassi’s funeral. I’ll always remember you as someone who was their own person, someone who never took anything from nobody and someone who was one of the toughest people I ever knew. I remember when we used to to box in the backyard of Fred’s house. I would never get too close to you because I knew if you hit me it was light’s out. We were friends throughout high school and always had good things to talk about whenever we met. So long my friend.

So sorry to hear this news. Mitch and I had similar interests - baseball and hockey.
I'm happy to see so many old friends from growing up honoring Anthony and appreciating how he has been such a positive influence on us. 
One day at Stamford lunch break we borrowed Rick Richardson's Honda bike to check out girls at Duff. When I turned off Portage I hit gravel and the bike went down. Mitch being a quick thinker and athletic did a hand stand, flip and ended up on his feet running. I saw it all as I lay there bleeding! lol
I'll always remember that until I join him and we can have a good laugh.

Sorry to hear the sad news, our dearest condolences to the family. Tony as I called him was a good friend.

So sad to hear of a life long friend. His mom and dad always called him Anthony, but we all knew him as Mitch. We met in our pre-teens and played pick-up ball and road hockey and then on to organized teams in both sports. Mitch and I became school mates at Stamford and that's when we headed to Mitch's basement for weights. Of course I could not keep up. One day he suggested some sparring and I said yes. Not one of the wisest choices in my life. I can still hear his dad say, "Anthony, take it easy on him, he's your  friend." Thankfully he did and no permanent scars or damage suffered. I remember my friend for his constant warm smile, soft voice and never-ending determination in everything he did. In my early 20's I had the pleasure of working with Mitch and for his dad at the Norton. Now I had two great Mitchell smiles to brighten my days. Thanks Mitch for the wonderful influence you had on my life. My thoughts and prayers are with Karen and the extended Mitchell family. Rest in peace my friend.  Rich
