Lieve tante Mies en familie,
Gecondoleerd met het verlies van ome Anton  We hebben jullie leren kennen als zeer gastvrij. Onze vakantie,'s waren zeer bijzonder. De motorboot met het vissen hebben we van genoten. Het hollandse potje van tante Mies, was zeer welkom in het hamburgerland. De neven en nichten zijn echt familie voor ons.

Dear Tante Wilma, Ria, Jerry, Tom and family

When I heard that Ome Anton had passed away, I cried. He was a good man with a kind heart. 

Ome Anton was my godfather who was a huge part of my life especially when I was younger.
Every summer for years I would spend at least a week at their house playing with Tommy.  I remember the picnics, playdates, visits, camping, and the adults playing cards on the weekends. 

I can remember as a child also playing cards with him. He always took the time to play with us. I remember him teasing me but in a kind and funny way.   It was his way of showing he cared.

I will always be grateful for Tante Wilma and Ome Anton supporting my family when we needed it most.  They showed me how to be a good friend.

I hope your own memories of your husband, father, Opa,  sustain you in your time of grief.  Sending you all hugs.

Dearest Wilma, Ria, Jerry and Tom with families,

We have very fond memories spending many a Saturday evening together with Tony and Wilma playing cards and the visits at Four Mile Creek campground playing bocce. Dear family in Canada, we are so sorry for your loss. We remember "Ome Anton" as a real family man, that's also how we knew him when we came over from Holland. Everytime we came it was a great welcome for us that we came over, and he liked it very much. He was a hard working man back in the days and I remember so much about our visits, I proposed mowing the lawn for him and he liked that. We made many great memories in Canada that we never forget. We remember him as our Canadian bonus opa 🇨🇦

Dear Tante Wilma, Ria, Jerry, and Tom:  Our sincerest condolences for the loss of your husband and father.  All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Your Mom and Dad were very supportive of our family when my Dad passed away.  Your Dad invited our family to go camping with yours the year my dad went into hospital and again the year he passed away.  I spent many weekends at your house growing up as my Dad was so ill. Wat fijn dat je toch een beetje mijn opa was die ik al die tijd zo miste. Met dezelfde humor en handen. 
Wat hebben we veel mooie gesprekken gehad en wat zullen we je missen.
