Beatrice Laura Mary (Hawkins) Smith

Peacefully passed at Queenston Place Retirement Residence on September 17th, 2022 at the age of 102. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Leonard (2018). She will be deeply missed by her children; Barbara (David) Pirie, Philip Smith (Mary), Michael (Janet) Smith and David Shooter (Diane). Beloved Grandma to Jennifer (Rob) Melville, Alison Pridham (Roy), Pamela Smith, Andrew (Amanda) Smith, Nathan (Jessica) Smith, Joanne Shooter (Rhys), Louise (Ryan) Harrelson, and 12 great-grandchildren; Alicia, Mahaki, Kahukura, Tamatea, Matthew, Kate, Aubrey, James, Adelina, Axton, Aiyla, and Kingston, along with many nieces & nephews.

Beatrice was a proud Veteran of WWII - RAF, a member of St. Andrew’s United Church, and enjoyed volunteering with her husband throughout their life together. Beatrice was known for her impeccable taste and style, which showed with her impressive talent as a seamstress for herself and her loved ones. Beatrice was extremely creative, with a love of knitting, crocheting, and flower arranging.

Beatrice’s long and full life will be celebrated by the family at Hetherington and Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls on Thursday September 22nd from 1-4pm.
