It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Betty Marie Atkin at the age of 94 on November 4, 2021. Betty joins her husband Harry Atkin and son Robert Atkin to watch over us. Cherished mother of Thomas Atkin (Darlene), loved mother in law of Shelley Atkin (Robert). Proud grandmother to Julie Bishop, Chelsey Atkin (Glenn), Chris Atkin (Diana), Noel, Cody Reed (Lindsey), Rhonda Lyon, Bonnie Nelson (Alex), Jody Lyon Kelder. Great gramma / Gigi to 13 great grandchildren. Loved by many family members and friends.
Betty was active in the MS Society for years. She grew up in Midland and moved to Niagara with Harry to build their dream home and raise their family. Betty loved walking her property and loved reminiscing about memories made. So many stories that will never be forgotten.
In keeping with Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place.
The family will receive friends at Hetherington and Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls, Ontario on Tuesday November 16th from 7- 9 p.m. **Proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, are mandatory to attend indoor funeral services for those age 12 and older. Masks are required.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the ALS Society or MS Society in memory of Betty.
