Bruno Armando Casagrande Jr.

It is with profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Bruno, at his home, on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the age of 54 years. Beloved husband and soul mate of Kim Mowbray. Amazing and devoted Dad to Emily Irwin, Kelsee Casagrande (Jeff Lord) and Emma Kellam. Loving son of Elizabeth Higgs and the late Bruno A. Casagrande Sr. Dear step-father of Brittany, Alexandra and Isabelle Mowbray. Proud and doting Nonno of Lacey Casagrande, Eloise Keddy, Oliver Lord, Nicholas Karras and Mikey Karras. Remembered by his brother Louie Casagrande (Belinda Pirie) and his sister Amalia Casagrande, who will greatly miss him. Survived by his extended family in Italy and Canada, his nieces and many, many friends.

Bruno was a lover of music, animals and the outdoors. He was good at everything he put his mind to. He was a carpenter, painter and drywaller by trade. He was an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting. He was deeply devoted to Kim and was proud to be her primary caregiver these past few years. His world revolved around his girls and his grandchildren.

In keeping with Bruno’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 1 – 3:30 p.m. at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave. (905-354-5614). There will be an informal time for speeches by the family at 3:30 p.m. A Celebration of Bruno's life will also be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 7 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Community Church, 33 Diana Ave., Brantford, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations made to a Trust Fund established for his grandchildren’s education would be appreciated by the family.
