Christopher Ronald Orbell

It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to a loving husband, much loved father, cherished son, dear brother, adored nephew, special uncle and beloved ‘godfather’ of the BMXFU crew. Chris is the devoted husband for 32 years of Sue (nee Jackson); father and best friend of Chris (Merrissa) and Andrea (Jeff). He is survived by his sister Heather (Ron) Brown, his aunt Nancy (Ave) Freimanis, uncle Roy Kennedy and his nieces and nephews: Katie (Scott), Dan, Kayla, Mackenzie, and Dylan. He will be lovingly remembered by brother in law Bruce (Jane) Jackson and his friend and cousin Jeff (Jenny) Freimanis as well as his many other cousins. Predeceased by his parents Ron and Charlotte Orbell.

Chris was a retired volunteer with the St. David’s Fire Department, a long-time member of the St. David’s Lion’s Club and a founding member of the Raven Lake Rum Runners. A sincere thank you to Dr. D. Dargavel, Irene and Holly for their unwavering support.

A Celebration of Chris and his mother Charlotte’s lives will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the St. David’s Fire Hall, 745 Warner Rd. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. If desired, memorial donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family and may be made through the office of HETHERINGTON & DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL; 5176 Victoria Ave. (905-354-5614).
